Amin Sadeghi

OAA, AIBC

Principal, Transportation, Canada

A registered architect in multiple countries, Amin’s designs have been brought to life in Canada, Middle East and the Far East. He has designed across market sectors since 1994 but his first love is Transportation. His desire to lead aviation, transit and multi-modal hubs stems from his long history of business and personal travel and the resulting learnings of highly functional and secure facilities.

As Principal, Transportation, Amin likes the challenge of designing large, complex projects where traffic flow and people mobility is critical to success. He understands the fast-paced environment of transportation projects and the need to bring together a balance of systems, services, security and sustainability. Understanding core systems from baggage handling to mechanical engineering is relevant from the word “go”. His deep knowledge of curbside to airside, and parking to platform, supports the design intricacies of security rigor. The overarching sustainable design components are a direct response to all functions with a focus on using modern technology to achieve immediate and long-term energy and carbon emission reductions. Amin is fully engaged in leading zero emission projects as transportation systems evolve to zero emission vehicles (ZEV), from trains and buses to ferries and aircraft, including drones. His goal is to leave a better world for the next generation.

Amin believes that history teaches us how to understand the future. “If you don’t know your history, you can’t create a future.” With that living motto, he mentors his team member to give them wings to grow and fly.
