Director, Interior Design, US

Pipa is a passionate and innovative interior designer with more than 20 years of experience bringing spaces to life across multiple market sectors. From working on high-profile brand stores in Melbourne to conceiving palaces for Middle Eastern royalty, Pipa’s work has resulted in dozens of honors including the 2020 ASID Design Excellence Award Illinois for her custom textile design. Her work has landed her in style capitals of the world like Milan, Tokyo, London and Sydney.

As Director of Interior Design, Pipa is an integrated member of the global Hospitality and Residential teams. Her attention to detail, love of the outdoors and a stylized mix of materiality contribute to strong focal points and an ease of designing open spaces. Pipa believes in the importance of incorporating local art in her designs to achieve a hyper-local cultural experience. With the pandemic impacting many aspects of design, she is at the forefront of providing guidance for clients and recently co-authored an article about proxemics for Inner Magazine. With a focus on sustainable design, Pipa considers all design elements in the initial space planning, lighting, acoustic details and manufacturing to give every project a unique feel.

Pipa has had several of her furniture pieces launched and exhibited at Salone Di Mobili in Milan. This creativity has expanded her eye for detail on every project she manages such as AMLI 808 North Wells in Chicago, IL, Kohler Lodge, WI and The Forester, A Hyatt Place Hotel, in IL where she led the design of custom sculptural lighting installations and fixtures. Pipa believes storytelling is integral to successful design and having a strong narrative keeps clients involved throughout the process. She is committed to shaping NORR’s own story with her integrated thinking and inspired design.
