Principal, Residential, North America

Ross embraces and enables inspired design in the pursuit of project excellence. During his 30-year career, he has overseen the design and development of hundreds of thousands of square feet of Residential, Commercial, Retail and Mixed-Use Developments on both greenfield and existing sites. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary and is a Certified Design, Development, and Construction Professional (CDP) with the International Council of Shopping Centres.

Ross has a people-first approach to the design and execution of his client’s projects and works to bring out the best in everyone involved. He believes that building solid relationships with clients, industry partners and colleagues is the first, most important step in the process to help his clients realize their vision. He views every project as an opportunity to create a place that will provide a legacy for the community, give meaning and purpose for those who experience it over time and generate long-term value for the owner. Incorporating sustainable design principles is a progressive evolution that Ross manages as a balance of good environmental stewardship without compromising his client’s design and financial requirements.

Realizing how important it is for those who are able to give back to their community, and with a huge passion for fundraising, Ross uses his love of music and performance to raise money for charities and not-for-profit groups in need. He has participated as a board member with various organizations and is currently co-chair of the Peter Burgener Memorial Concert for Classrooms in Calgary, AB. In its seventh year, this annual event has raised over a million dollars for deserving charities across Canada and has become one of the city’s most anticipated fundraising events.
