Abu Sanneh

Principal, Transportation, North America

Abu sees the aviation sector as a driver for connecting people, places, and economic growth. His passion for the sector began early, sparked by a childhood encounter with a pilot during a family trip that inspired a lasting fascination with aviation and a career dedicated to airport leadership.

With more than 15 years of experience, Abu has led airport operations, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, major projects, capital delivery, and PMO governance in complex, live operating environments. He brings a deep owner’s-side understanding of how effective airport design must balance safety, security, operational continuity, constructability, and commercial performance to achieve long-term asset value for clients.

Looking ahead, Abu sees airport aging infrastructure and capacity pressures as significant challenges for the industry. At the same time, cargo growth, decarbonization, digital transformation, and evolving security requirements are redefining airport priorities. His focus is on helping airport authorities and operators navigate these changes through modernization strategies that enhance the passenger experience and strengthen long-term performance.

For Abu, his passion for cycling reflects the same discipline he brings to complex projects: pace the effort, stay focused, and go the distance.
