With 30 years of experience in the AEC industry, his goal is to continuously improve collaboration, coordination, communication, and workflows between clients, design teams, and project stakeholders to deliver exceptional buildings.
As Director, Digital Technologies, Hany brings a long-term perspective on the evolution of design practice, from manual drafting to Building Information Modeling (BIM) beyond three dimensions. He applies a thoughtful approach to using technology that supports and elevates design excellence while enabling reliable project execution. Through firm-wide standards, education, and integrated BIM workflows, he helps teams deliver consistent, high-quality work that promotes informed decision-making for clients throughout the design and delivery process.
AI and emerging design technologies are expanding how teams explore options, evaluate decisions earlier, and respond to increasing project complexity. At NORR, Hany researches and implements these tools within practice-wide workflows, enabling faster, better-informed decisions while maintaining design intent and technical rigor.
Outside the office, Hany is an avid snowboarder drawn to steep lines and backcountry terrain, where adaptability, balance, and experience are essential. In these environments, he embraces inevitable uncertainty, forging a mindset for navigating and managing emerging technologies.
