A self-motivated and determined leader, Lorna has managed teams through multiple strategically delivered frameworks for a diverse group of clients. With more than 20 years of experience as an architect, including Commercial, Education, Public Buildings and Transportation, Lorna applies her wealth of knowledge in a holistic design approach to find pragmatic solutions to the most complex design challenges.

In her role as Director of Education, Lorna ensures every voice is heard, from client to contractor to project team to realize best results. Collaboration is paramount to designing sustainable schools that also consider the health and wellness of students and faculty. As Associate for the new West Calder High School, Lorna was instrumental in designing teaching spaces that developed progressive thinking around delivery of education and the curriculum on behalf of a forward-looking client. The project went on to win the 2019 Project of the Year at the Education Buildings Scotland Awards and stands as a testament to the balance of modern technologies with the agricultural and industrial heritage of the area.

As Director, Lorna employs an approachable management style that focuses on the growth of her colleagues and is always available to members of her team as well as clients.

Outside of the office, Lorna enjoys staying active, spending time with her family and travelling where she finds inspiration and maintains a broad view of design opportunities and possibilities.
