Paul is a big picture thinker who approaches every project in a holistic manner to meet sustainable performance objectives. As a founding member of the Sustainability Team, Paul is instrumental in identifying and implementing new technologies across mechanical, electrical and structural engineering to manage system design. He is actively working on carbon neutral retrofit projects, where targeted strategies result in measurable reductions in energy consumption, carbon and greenhouse gas emissions.

With more than 25 years of experience in engineering, Paul is well positioned in his role as Director Operations, for NORR and sister company Cion, as he is knowledgeable in multiple sectors across Commercial, Education, Health Sciences, Hospitality, Justice, Public Buildings, Residential and Transportation. He provides senior leadership and technical direction for projects of all sizes such as an EV charging program for Canada Post Corporation, a modernization of the Daniel J. MacDonald Building, a blood processing and distribution facility for Canadian Blood Services and a life-cycle assessment of 10,000+ locations for CVS Health. He is also acting as a Design Assist Engineer for EllisDon for Supreme Court of Canada.

Paul leads multi-disciplinary project teams from concept to final design in a fast-paced work environment. He empowers his team to align with their strengths, while guiding them on best practices, processes and regional standards that make teams, projects and clients successful.

Following his passion for learning, Paul is a voracious reader. His favorite book is How We Decide by Jonah Lehrer that tells the story of how we use unexpected discoveries of neuroscience to help make the best decisions. He sees value in using this knowledge to leverage decisions in the built environment.
