Guerlain Spa Toronto is a luxurious urban sanctuary that unites the refined heritage of a nearly 200-year-old French luxury house with the wellness-forward spirit of a modern hospitality destination. Located on the fourth floor of Hotel X Toronto at Exhibition Place, the spa was envisioned as a flagship experience that embodies Guerlain’s global identity while connecting to the city’s waterfront and skyline. The client’s goal was to deliver a signature guest experience rooted in calm, beauty and sensory richness.

Our Interior Design team translated Guerlain’s timeless elegance into a serene, immersive destination for visitors and hotel guests alike. Drawing inspiration from forests and nature’s organic forms, the design layers Parisian sophistication with soft, flowing curves that eliminate sharp edges and guide guests gently through the space. The L-shaped plan is sculpted with curved walls that ensure guests never see the abrupt end of a corridor, creating a sense of continuous flow and discovery. Vertical fixtures at every treatment door break up the corridor rhythm while adding warm visual highlights.

A palette of sandy beige and earth tones is accented with luxurious gold finishes, including a striking gold leaf ceiling that reflects soft, indirect lighting to create a subtle ambient glow. Throughout the space, custom lighting elements add refinement—circular ceiling coves with bespoke chandeliers, backlit ceiling features over massage tables and integrated uplighting in product displays. Advanced technology seamlessly enhances guest care and personalization.

The spa includes a welcoming reception area, ten treatment rooms, steam and shower facilities, salon areas and a relaxation bar-lounge with flowing curtains framing panoramic views of Lake Ontario. The layout is carefully sequenced to support every stage of the guest experience, with select massage rooms and integrated showers for added indulgence. Back-of-house areas are discreetly hidden to maintain tranquility and a polished brand experience.
