A Licensed Architect and US Army Veteran, Julian Andrade is all about precision. His experience in architecture, engineering and construction spans more than two decades with a focus on adaptive reuse strategies and intricate design of mission-critical facilities. His commitment to the built environment and his community runs deep with active roles as Planning and Design Commissioner for the City of Sacramento and Board Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Central Valley Chapter.

Julian has an extensive project portfolio across diverse market sectors. His work encompasses an array of project types and sizes including government buildings and campuses, office repositionings and mixed-use developments. As Principal, Public Buildings, he a proficient leader who leverages his industry network to assemble dynamic project teams and exceed client expectations.

His military training has instilled him with strong leadership skills, discipline and an unwavering commitment to his work. Julian’s ability to navigating complex situations, coupled with his resilience and problem-solving ability, underscores his capacity to lead and manage multifaceted projects and teams. He embraces change as an opportunity for growth, with a mindset of adaptability and continuous learning.

Julian understands that architects are catalysts for transformation – underscoring the critical need of developing places and spaces that are low energy, high-performing and help to reduce carbon emissions. As a LEED® certified professional, his approach is to help clients meet their sustainability objectives and advocates for best practices to achieve common sustainable development goals.

Outside of work, Julian finds solace and inspiration in playing classical guitar. He draws parallels between the creative process of music and the dynamic evolution inherent in architecture.
