Calum’s unique triad of experience – as client, architect and general contractor – provides extraordinary insights and perspective on every project. From concept to completion, he understands the requirements from all three sides and how collaboration plays a vital role in achieving the defined objectives. After 35 years in the AEC industry, Calum knows a thing or two about large complex projects – and how national frameworks and local systems are evolving to achieve enhanced integrity in the process.
As Director, Business Development, UK, he is active in both Scotland and England across multiple sectors including Education, Health Sciences, Justice, Residential, Science & Research and Transportation. Common to his work across all sectors is his drive to deliver solutions that are embedded in context while leveraging opportunities of high-quality informed design within budget and program. Calum is one of our pivotal change makers who is helping to prioritize sustainability, flexibility in design to accommodate new models, and the health and well-being of occupants. His approach is strategic but keenly sensitive to the demands and challenges that each client and project presents.
Calum’s love of design extends outside of the office to his family hobby of refurbishing and developing properties. He brings this experience to his work clients where he always looks to maximize his clients’ return on investment.
