KOHLER, a leader in high-end plumbing fixtures, has been transforming its retail presence in the US with a multi-site showroom program. Moving beyond a direct-to-consumer model, KOHLER aimed to create immersive retail experiences that guide customers from inspiration to the realization of their home or commercial projects. The showrooms, strategically placed in multi-tenant buildings across the US, offer a unique opportunity for customers to experience KOHLER’s products in fully functional settings—whether kitchens, bathrooms or other spaces. Each location is designed to reflect local tastes while maintaining the consistency of KOHLER’s bold and upscale brand identity.

NORR was selected as a key partner to bring this vision to life, leveraging our extensive experience in national retail rollouts. Working closely with KOHLER’s in-house design team, we provided full architectural and engineering services to adapt and enhance second-generation structures, which often presented significant challenges. For instance, in the Summit, NJ location we undertook extensive structural work, including addressing rotting beams and sinking sidewalks, to create a state-of-the-art showroom with a completely new façade. These challenges required a careful balance between preserving the integrity of the existing buildings and meeting KOHLER’s high standards for customer experience.

The result is a series of showrooms that not only showcase KOHLER’s products, but also offer an immersive and personalized customer journey. Each showroom features a design center, centrally located within the retail space, where customers can collaborate with KOHLER’s design team to bring their visions to life. The integration of advanced lighting and control systems, overseen by NORR’s engineering team, ensures that every fixture is displayed to its fullest potential, enhancing the overall customer experience.

This program has successfully transformed existing spaces into high-end retail environments that reflect KOHLER’s commitment to quality and innovation. By offering customers the chance to interact with products in realistic settings, these showrooms elevate the retail experience, making “The Bold Look of KOHLER” more accessible and inspiring than ever.
