Mark Boone
Vice President, Transportation, North America
Mark Boone sees Transportation not just as a means of movement, but as an inclusive system that connects people, places and opportunity.
A civil engineer by training, he brings nearly three decades of global experience delivering transportation infrastructure across six continents. His career spans all facets of project delivery—from definition and planning through design, execution and commissioning—delivering airside and landside systems as structured, interrelated components of an airport environment. He has led multiple international vertically integrated projects and complex programs—involving terminals, hangars and intermodal systems—including key roles in Sydney, Quito and Melbourne where he guided stakeholders on strategic decisions emphasizing passenger experience and long-term value.
Mark takes a holistic approach to aviation, transit and multi-modal: helping clients navigate the evolution of electrification, meet ESG performance goals, increase revenue per passenger and incorporate flexibility for future system expansion. He partners with both government and private operators to clarify priorities and simplify complexity into actionable decisions. Known for his pragmatic and direct leadership style, he fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, building high-performing teams that deliver value and innovation.
A lifelong traveler, Mark brings his design sensibility to every journey. His firsthand experiences deepen his understanding of key design priorities—security, flexibility, accessibility and intuitive wayfinding—as well as the broader role of transportation infrastructure in shaping equitable, inviting spaces. Whether traveling by plane or high-speed rail, he’s drawn to light-filled, well-organized environments with efficient circulation and thoughtfully integrated retail and dining that elevate the passenger experience.
