Based in NORR’s Inverness Office, Mark leads project teams in Commercial, Education, Health Sciences, Industrial and Residential during his 30-year career. He is a registered architect and specializes in restoration, master planning and feasibility projects ranging from seismically qualified nuclear facilities to new hospitals and healthcare facilities.
His list of prestigious projects features the design for the University of Abertay Library, which won the ‘Best Building in Scotland’ Award and Kingsland Primary School which won “Best Educational Building in Scotland” award. Most recently, Mark was recognized for his work on the Dalmunach Distillery project winning the 2015 RIAS Award, 2015 RIBA National Award, 2015 AJ120 Building of the Year nomination and the 2015 Scottish Design Awards Commendation. Mark has also been recognized for his knowledge in restoration projects in Orkney including Brough in Westray and Grainbank House in Kirkwall, giving him a close appreciation of Orcadian buildings and materials.
