Martin leads the BIM Strategy at NORR, resulting in the continuous improvement of collaboration, coordination, communication and processes between design teams, AEC stakeholders and clients.  With almost three decades of experience, Martin’s end game is to enhance overall efficiency and quality.

Through his international experience, he has developed practical BIM Management knowledge working on large-scale architectural projects across multiple market sectors including: Commercial, Education, Public Buildings, Health Sciences, Hospitality, Residential and Transportation.

Martin fully embraces the technology changes that have transformed the A&E industry – from manual drafting to digital 2D CAD drafting, to 3D CAD, to 3D parametric and now BIM processes. As a CanBIM Certified Professional and Architectural Technologist, Martin establishes the design technology roadmap for automation, computational and generative design, immersive and non-immersive visualization, data and analytics, artificial intelligence and new emerging technology trends. He offers significant value to clients through education and integration into NORR’s BIM process and design technology strategy.

Outside the office, you will find Martin cycling on country roads of the foothills of Alberta or cross-country skiing and hiking in the Canadian Rockies. His leadership qualities inside the office extend to his external activities where he lives by the motto of “never look behind, never sit on your progress and always look forward.”
