Vice President, Residential, North America
George is a Registered Architect with more than 30 years of professional experience in mixed-use, multi-residential design. He is an accomplished leader of multidisciplinary teams across North America and the UK. George has an innate ability to identify emerging housing trends and translates that knowledge to early-stage designs enabling clients, owners and investors to capitalize on ROI.
As Vice President of the Residential sector at NORR, George has identified three key trends that have staying power for the foreseeable future. These trends include work-from-home spaces, adaptive reuse opportunities and integrated development strategies. His focus is finding value and incentives in office-to-residential and office-to-hotel conversions with a greater vision of urban regeneration to attract capital to downtown cores through land and asset redevelopment.
The Residential portfolio spans decades and project types across a spectrum of integrated developments (transit-oriented and community-focused), mid and high-rise apartments, adaptive reuse, townhomes, attainable housing and senior living. George collaborates with project teams to design multi-family buildings and spaces that help to establish smart cities and resilient neighborhoods, with a focus on walkable communities, healthy buildings and carbon reduction strategies.
In his spare time, you will find George enjoying live music at various sized venues. He likes to feel the shared energy of musicians as they perform together – similar to the vibe he gets from working closely with his teams and clients to realize a unified vision.
