Lincoln is a 38-story mixed-use development by Truman, marking a bold addition to Calgary’s Beltline neighborhood. The project comprises 277 residential suites—including eight non-market units—alongside a full level of commercial space and more than 21,000 square feet of signature indoor amenities. Responding to the need for dense, connected urban living, Lincoln will offer a walkable, transit-oriented, and amenity-rich lifestyle that links neighborhood life with city-center access, while contributing to the ongoing revitalization of Calgary’s downtown core.

As Lead Architect, our team shaped Lincoln’s expressive form through a dramatic corner gesture, shimmering gold metal fins, and a softly draped façade gathered at the base. Together, these design elements distinctly set the building apart with a fluid, dynamic presence. High-performance triple-glazed window walls will enhance energy efficiency while maintaining transparency and elegance, spanning from the double-height entrance lobby to the pointed skylight above the rooftop pool. The west-facing pool deck will be illuminated at night, animating the streetscape, while a two-level penthouse with a private reflection pond will cap the tower—creating memorable moments from street to skyline.

The extensive amenity program is designed to encourage residents to connect beyond their individual units. Coworking hubs, shared lounges, a podcast studio, and communal kitchens will foster social engagement and community building. A lush indoor Winter Garden will bring greenery and natural light into the heart of the building, while the other amenities (skylit pool, yoga studio, fitness center, movie theater, bowling alley, and karaoke rooms) will provide wellness and entertainment at scale.

As a flagship high-rise, Lincoln will establish a premium living environment that demonstrates how architecture can support wellness, social connection, and urban life. The development’s vision, expressed through its refined form, materiality, and spatial strategy, will elevate the Beltline as a livable and desirable urban destination while strengthening downtown Calgary’s identity.
